About Elizaveta Rybina

Elizaveta Rybina is a mixed media artist currently residing in Portland, OR. Elizaveta works mainly in pastel, but also in other dry media, watercolor, and oil. Elizaveta grew up in Russia. She studied academic drawing and painting, art history, traditional Russian arts and crafts at the Tula Youth Art School named after Polenov in Russia. After graduating from the art school, she went on to receive two Master's degrees, one in Philosophy at Moscow State University, Russia, and the other in Sociology at the University of Lancaster, UK. In 2018 while living in the US, Elizaveta was inspired by the works of a local talented pastel artist and became curious about this new dry media and decided to explore it by taking a pastel class. Elizaveta has a longstanding passion for visual arts. She wants to combine her passion and experience and find her unique artistic style. Elizaveta is also currently pursuing a degree in Web Design and Development.
